Beautifully done! I like Maleficent with her long hair and wings. However, I don't see many artists draw her in this form. From what I gathered (from other artists) is that doing the wings is tough because of all the details required to do the feathers. I can see that here. It must have taken you a very long time to do this drawing. I like the pose with her hand like that as it makes her look like she is a little bit angry here. Ok, maybe more than just a little angry.
Oh, so you didn't work on it continuously then. I have another friend here on DA that draws pictures of peacocks and she says doing feathers is extremely painstakingly difficult due to the repetition in details. So that is how I gathered that doing Maleficent's wings is probably puts you in the same boat. BTW, how did you like the movie? I saw it last weekend. For me I am somewhat a Sleeping Beauty purist and there were some parts of the retelling of the story that I didn't agree with. But the prequel part in the beginning was nothing short of stunning. Especially the parts when you see Maleficent flying. I guess that is one of the reasons why I took to this form of Maleficent very well. I always thought Maleficent was pretty to begin with, but Jolie made her look absolutely stunning. What more is all of the wonderful fan-art that has been cropping up lately because of the film. 'Tis a good time to be a Maleficent fan.
